Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 9:8:  "God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that you may be able to provide in abundance for every good work."  We are blessed to be a blessing!  Online giving is a quick and efficient way for you to share your blessings through the work of Christ at the church.

Giving is a form of love that God teaches us by giving His best for us.  It is written in John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."

This is what is said about "Giving" in the Holy Bible...It is written in (NIV)

2 Corithians 9:7: "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

Luke 6:38: "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you."

John 13:34-35: 34)“A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. 35) By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Giving comes in many forms, but should always be expressed as Jesus commanded. Time such as voluteering, service such as helping others, buying something to eat for someone, donating clothing, these are all forms of giving.

Emanuel's Lutheran has many opportunities to give, let us know if you want to give.

Tithing is an act of worship that expresses our gratitude, faith and love.  It is a way of obedience and is a divine connection to our blessings.  It is a way for the recession and depression to bypass you.  When we tithe we are putting Him first in all we do and we are trusting Him with our income. When we do not give our tithe we are stealing from God, for it is written in Malachi 3:8-12:

8 Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, Wherein have we robbed thee? In tithes and offerings.  9 Ye [are] cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, [even] this whole nation.  10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it].  11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.  12 And all nations shall call you blessed: for ye shall be a delightsome land, saith the LORD of hosts.

Our Father God Almighty as mentioned , for it is written in:

Malachi 3:10: "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that [there shall] not [be room] enough [to receive it]."

Leviticus 27:30: "And all the tithe of the land, [whether] of the seed of the land, [or] of the fruit of the tree, [is] the LORD'S: [it is] holy unto the LORD."

Deuteronomy 28:12: "The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure,

the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all thework of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow."

Seed/Offering is the giving that God returns to you as an overflow 30, 60, and 100 fold.  It is your faith in God and the return in reward He gives to you.  Jesus tells us about it in a parable of the sower,

Matthew 13:8: "But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit, some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold."

Promises Our Father have made are in the entire Bible and it's

true, for it is written in:

Isaiah 55:11: "But other fell into good ground, and brought forth fruit,

some an hundredfold, some sixtyfold, some thirtyfold."

Deuteronomy 8:18: "But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it

is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his

covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day".
