Welcome to Emanuel’s
The congregation at Emanuel’s Lutheran Church welcomes all to come and join in worship and praise of our Lord Jesus Christ. Our main Sunday service at 9 a.m. is “formal but not stuffy.” We follow a liturgy, an order of worship, but from one week to another we experience a variety of musical expressions in worship.
Starting on Sunday, September 25, 2016, there will be new “Informal Service” at 11:15 a.m. every Sunday. This service will be accompanied by guitar with a shorter liturgy that will include Communion. This service is especially designed for younger folks and families, college students and others who prefer a later service with an informal style.
Our church is a place for all generations. There is a special area in the church where families can worship, children can play, and yet be a part of the overall worship experience. In addition, there is a children’s message every Sunday.
For those who have limitations with mobility, our church is accessible with wheelchair ramps and an elevator and there are reserve seating areas for those in wheelchairs.
Visitors often comment on the truly awe-inspiring architecture of the main church. The vaulted ceilings, stained-glass windows and premier pipe organ set the atmosphere to sense the presence of our wonderful and mighty God.
This is an exciting time to be a part of Emanuel’s! We are a congregation in transition, re-discovering our ministry and mission in the Seguin community. We have a transition team guiding us in this process of discovery. In the second half of 2016 we plan to form a team that will lead us in the search for our next permanent pastor. You are invited to come and be a part of what God is doing in and through Emanuel’s Church!
